Arkansas Medical Marijuana Program Finally Getting Off the Ground

After a little over two years the Arkansas Health Department has finally start mailing out Medical Marijuana Identification Cards to residents whose applications have been approved. Although cards are being mailed in February the first batch of medical marijuana will not be available for purchase until sometime in April. Once available patients will be able to buy up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana every two weeks from one of the states 32 licensed dispensaries.

To date the Arkansas Health Department has approved over 7,000 applications.
